Every love story is different. Yours is one of a kind.
Let’s tell that story in a special way.
Nice to meet you – I’m Leah! As a paper geek, word lover, and hopeless romantic, it gives me all the feels to help others tell their stories – especially as they celebrate life’s most special moments.
Even though I was always creative growing up, the obsessive compulsive, perfectionist gal in me never thought I could pursue something artistic as a career. So, I went to Michigan State for something more “academic” instead (Honors College – BA in English, BA in Linguistics). Years passed and I found myself working as the executive assistant to the CEO of a venture capital firm. Days were long, draining, and stressful. I’d come home and practice calligraphy on my couch, simply to decompress.
This soothing hobby would eventually become a nights-and-weekends side gig, and then a full-time career. Fast forward a few more years, thousands of practice hours put in, a board seat earned with the Michigan Association of Calligraphers, more envelopes addressed than I could even count, and… I’ve proven my younger self wrong. I pinch myself every day that this is my job. It’s kind of crazy that one gal could be this lucky.
I’ve worked with hundreds of couples, and I’m truly honored to help each and every one of them – regardless of races, religious beliefs, genders, and family lifestyle. My requirements for clients are twofold: kindness to everyone and love for one another. Dog lovers are even better.
In fact, I make a donation to Detroit Dog Rescue for every custom client who books with me. You’re supporting a small business, and this small business owner is supporting her community, too!
When I’m not working in my cozy and light-filled home studio, you can most likely find me out for a walk with Jack (our 65-pound lap dog), sipping a Paloma, watching sports with family, or cooking with Adam, my engineer/woodworker better half. But when I am busy creating, I promise to bring my passion, dedication, and attention to detail to each and every piece. Because you deserve it.

In addition to her talent, she is so easy to reach, and so well organized. She gave us a timeline that she kept to the entire process, which is pretty invaluable while dealing with tons of vendors during wedding planning. There could not be anyone better around to use for your paper goods on your wedding day!!! -Katy
