Bride and groom just married - Greenery-filled Planterra wedding - Leah E. Moss Designs

Connecting with Mariel was a joy from the beginning, so it was no surprise to me when their Planterra wedding photos came back and she was literally beaming. She and Adam were such a delight to work with, and their paper goods were my favorite kind to work on: cohesive from save the dates all the way through to thank you notes. Getting to relive their special October day with these gorgeous images from Brian at BTW Photography is a treat!

First Look and Portraits

Mariel and Adam took portraits on the beautiful grounds at Cranbrook. They had the most stunning autumn leaves showcase as their backdrop. Quintessential October! These two opted for just immediate family as part of their ceremony, so they didn’t do a formal wedding party. Their portraits are just the two of them, full of romance and excitement before their Planterra wedding ceremony to come.

Their Invitation

Since Mariel and Adam would be hosting a Planterra wedding, they knew they wanted to incorporate watercolor greenery throughout the invitation, as a nod to the venue. We had a huge cluster of greenery on their save the date, and then a greenery motif throughout their invite and day-of-wedding paper goods. I opted for an art deco style font, paired with classic calligraphy, for a nice contrast in aesthetic. Their monogram was full of greenery, and everything was set right-aligned for a modern twist. Rose gold foil stamping set things over the edge. Their return address on the envelopes were some of my all-time favorites!

The Ceremony

Mariel and Adam had a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony, full of warmth and love. Any Planterra wedding is beautiful, but their chuppah was jaw-dropping! One of the elements of a Jewish ceremony is the section of Seven Blessings. This couple opted to have seven groups of people each recite a blessing, as a way to include people closest to them in the ceremony. This was a perfect detail to include in their ceremony program, along with a passage they selected.

Their Planterra wedding reception

I loved getting to work with these two for their reception details. Everything was coordinated and cohesive… a stationer’s dream!
