Doing things like Kate Middleton, making sure guests feel loved, keeping both families happy, and putting your spin on the big day.

Yes, it’s possible. Yes, really.

You’re an overachiever who’s overwhelmed. You want your wedding to reflect who you are as a couple, look picture perfect, and be a fun, memorable celebration for your loved ones. So, you’re sneaking emails to your wedding planner at work, and you’ve had to call your florist to follow up three times already.

You’ve put a lot of pressure on yourself to make sure everything is just right for the people you love. I get it. You’re exactly who I had in mind when I started this shindig.

Leah doing twirl - Leah E. Moss Designs, Michigan calligrapher and invitations designer

I’m Leah, and I work with head-over-heels-in-love couples—like you two—who are looking to infuse their day with personality, while keeping it steeped in elegant tradition.

I create personalized wedding invitations with a focus on hand-crafted calligraphy and artistry. Translation?! You get beautiful, meaningful stationery that tells your love story, without the stress of having to guess about paper types, wording, printing methods, or writing styles.

With two words-focused degrees (English and Linguistics) from Michigan State, a stint as a magazine editor-in-chief, three years as the executive assistant to a venture capital firm’s CEO, and a lifetime as the “artsy kid,” I’ve… had a journey.

But, each step ended up uniquely equipping me to create heirloom paper goods with the same level of left-brained organization as right-brained creativity.

Plus, with hundreds of clients served, thousands of practice hours put in, a board of directors presidency earned for the Michigan Association of Calligraphers, more envelopes addressed than I could even count, and multiple in-person workshops taken from the world’s best, I’m pretty damn good at it. *Does hair flip.*

I pinch myself every day that my longtime, dorky hobbies became my job. It’s kind of crazy that one gal could be this lucky to get to create personalized wedding invitations for incredible couples like you.  When I’m not working in my cozy and light-filled home studio, you can most likely find me:

  • out for a walk with Lake, our energetic and ultra-fluffy Shepherd/Sheltie mutt
  • sipping a Paloma on our backyard deck
  • cooking with Adam, my engineer/woodworker hubby
  • scheming up our next home reno project

But when I am busy creating, I promise to bring my passion, dedication, and attention to detail to each and every piece. Because you deserve it.

This should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyway…

You’re welcome here. I’d love to work with you, no matter what you look like or who you love.

I’ve worked with hundreds of couples, and I’m truly honored to help each and every one of them create their personalized wedding invitations — regardless of race, religious belief, gender, and family structure. My requirements for clients are twofold: kindness to everyone and love for one another. Dog lovers get bonus points.

In addition to her talent, she is so easy to reach, and so well organized. She gave us a timeline that she kept to the entire process, which is pretty invaluable while dealing with tons of vendors during wedding planning. There could not be anyone better around to use for your paper goods on your wedding day!!! -Katy
