You’re an overachiever who wants your milestone moment to reflect who you are, look picture perfect, and remain a cherished memory for years to come.
You’ve put a lot of pressure on yourself to make sure everything is just right for the people you love. I see you. You’re exactly who I had in mind when I started this shindig.
Hi, I’m Leah Sachs — a Detroit artist who works with lots of mediums. Regardless of the final art type, I want my clients to celebrate life’s joyous moments, big and small.
Along the way, I’ve discovered that clients needed a personal approach that felt specific to their needs, in order to tell their beautiful story in a meaningful way. Likewise, they wanted an organized experience that fit their busy life.
I find inspiration from my clients’ unique story and center my art around them, so they feel nostalgic whenever they revisit their special piece — whether it’s wedding stationery, commissioned art, or a unique product.
The most important thing to me is that my clients have a visual reminder of a joyous moment that matters to them… as a well as a fun, beautiful piece of art to enjoy for years.
With two words-focused degrees (English and Linguistics) from Michigan State, a stint as a magazine editor-in-chief, three years as the executive assistant to a venture capital firm’s CEO, and a lifetime as the “artsy kid,” I’ve… had a journey.
And trust me, I get it: working with an artist can feel like a gamble.
(Maybe you’ve been let down by a flaky, chaotic “creative”?)
Been there, too. That’s why I do things differently.
Each step along my winding career path has equipped me to put equal weight into the left-brained organization and right-brained creativity of your experience. I‘m here to give you a beautiful heirloom while taking the guesswork and risk out of commissioning something one-of-a-kind.
Plus, with hundreds of clients served, thousands of practice hours put in, a board of directors presidency earned for the Michigan Association of Calligraphers, more envelopes addressed than I could even count, and multiple workshops taken from the world’s best, I’m pretty damn good at it.
*Does hair flip.*
I pinch myself every day that my longtime, dorky hobbies became my job. It’s kind of crazy that one gal could be this lucky to get to work as a Detroit artist. I’m trusted by heavy-hitters like Louis Vuitton, Nordstrom, and Sweetgreen, but spend most days designing personalized creations for incredible people (like you), who will cherish them.
When I’m not working in my cozy and light-filled home studio, you can most likely find me:
🍹 sipping a Paloma on our backyard deck
👩🏻🍳 cooking with Adam, my engineer/woodworker hubby
🏠 scheming up our next home reno project
But when I am busy creating, I promise to bring my passion, dedication, and attention to detail to each and every piece. Because you deserve it.
STUDIO & DESIGN ASSISTANT
Detail-oriented, talented, and caring, he oversees orders behind the scenes to ensure quality at each step of the way.
Best dressed, without question.
CHIPMUNK PATROL
Floofy and cute, he is here to supervise, while being underfoot. This Shepherd/Sheltie mix keeps it joyful around here!
Most likely to nap on the job.
UNPAID INTERN / CFO / HUSBAND
Inquisitive and logical, he keeps me sane (mostly). The best sounding board, chef, sanity-check, and cheerleader.
Can’t wait to start a spreadsheet.
The service-oriented experience you receive along the way is just as important to me as the end result: beautiful, high quality paper goods that matter to you.
“Leah could not have been more wonderful to work with and her product was absolutely magical. If I could leave six stars, I would. She made the planning process seamless and enjoyable. You must go with Leah — not only for her fabulous designs, but she is reliable, responsive, and a true pleasure.”
