Rosemary Beach wedding reception with golden hour lighting

Raegan and Ian’s black, white, and blush Rosemary Beach wedding highlighted the gorgeous setting of the Florida Emerald Coast. It was an ultra-chic design and a beautiful showcase of the natural surroundings. Thanks to these gorgeous photos from Amy Riley Photography, we can relive their day.

Design Elements for this Rosemary Beach wedding

Color Palette, Inspiration and Event Goals

When Raegan and I first chatted for her stationery design kickoff, she told me she was envisioning a neutral day for their Rosemary Beach wedding. Mostly whites, with pops of black and blush accents.

Throughout the day, she wanted ribbons tied in bows as another accent element. Her dress had bows at each shoulder with long ribbon-style “tails,” so we wanted to mirror that throughout their stationery with ribbons.

She wanted ultra classic and sophisticated elements that would feel timeless and a hint of feminine, without feeling girly.

From Design Mockup to Reality

Here, you can see the digital mockup I sent to the couple as part of their stationery design process. You can see each element included, at scale and in reference to the other elements.

This is part of every proof round! Then, we take what was on screen and it translates to real life.

Save the Dates

Because this couple wanted cohesiveness from start to finish, they worked with me for their save the dates, invitations, and day-of-wedding items. Their save the dates featured a gorgeous photo of them (with another bow on this dress, as a fun preview!)…

We introduced their RI emblem for the first time on the back flap of the envelope. Likewise, the black and white photo was a preview of what awaited guests months later.

Invitations

The invitations came next and featured the same RI emblem, this time at the top of the double thick, oversized main card. The envelope liner featured a custom venue illustration I drew of the Rosemary Beach Town Hall, which is an iconic building for any Rosemary Beach wedding — and where this couple hosted their reception.

Carrying the color palette, the outer envelope and “more information” card were on blush card stock, and everything else was on white.

A black satin ribbon held everything together.

Hand calligraphy adorned the outer envelope, and all the cards were letterpress printed, for a luxurious feeling and tactile impression for their guests.

The Night Before

Raegan and Ian kicked off their Rosemary Beach wedding festivities with a rehearsal dinner on the beach the night before. They had lounge seating and a fire pit with s’mores at the bonfire. Though we don’t have photos of this event, you can use your imagination. They had custom stickers on “kits” for s’mores pre-made with the graham crackers, chocolate section, and marshmallows. They had frosted clear plastic cups (no glass on the beach!), and custom-made embroidered throw pillows with their same emblem. I love getting a chance to design “off paper” and create all of these other items for couples, to complete their event branding!

Getting Ready

Raegan and Ian both looked like a million bucks for their Rosemary Beach wedding.

Ceremony

Raegan and Ian’s beachfront ceremony was quintessentially Florida’s Emerald Coast. White sand, soft sunset, gorgeous.

The couple had me create welcome signage as well as reserved seating signs, with the repeated ribbon element.

Reception Design Details

Raegan and Ian’s Rosemary Beach wedding reception at the Rosemary Beach Town Hall was gorgeous. It felt modern and timeless at the same time!

Welcome and Cocktail Hour

Guests were greeted with an escort card I created, tied around the stem of a champagne flute — no better way to get the party started! This was a perfect way to repeat the black satin bows motif once again.

Installations

Their bar featured a large decal with their RI emblem, which is always fun to do at scale.

Their bar signage and guest book sign each brought a hint of blush into the space.

The bar sign was 3D, laser cut blush acrylic with a silver mirror acrylic heading.

Tabletop Decor Elements

The tables were a classic white with pops of modern black accents and tiny hints of blush in the florals. Insanely gorgeous, and perfect in the whitewashed, airy room with tall ceilings!

Each guest had a letterpress menu with a(nother) black satin bow at the top. Along with that, they had a place card in front of the gorgeous white/black charger that indicated their meal selection.

The table numbers were a frosted clear acrylic with black numerals, which paired nicely with the modern black chairs.

The white florals were fluffy with no greenery — just blooms and gorgeous!

Bar and Late Night

Raegan and Ian carried their motif through to their cocktail napkins and bar service. And a moment for the cake, with the perfectly sculpted blush “ribbon”. I’m obsessed.

No stone left unturned!
