Adam and I knew we wanted this year’s holiday card to feel like a hug for our family and friends. What we didn’t realize was just how much of a hug we’d all need by the end of January. If you’re having a rough time processing all that’s happening, I’m with you. Here’s a reminder of some of my values, just to make sure we’re absolutely clear.

🌈 I work with all couples in love. Your LGBTQ love story isn’t just “accepted” here - it will be celebrated.

🧬 I trust scientists and factual data. Unless you can show me the lab where you’ve “done your own research,” I’m going with the guidance from renowned experts in their fields.

🏡 No human is “illegal.” If you’re living here as a new immigrant, welcome. Thank you for making my community vibrant. I hope my great grandparents were treated with dignity upon their arrival here, rather than the disgusting, reprehensible treatment our government is currently subjecting you to. You deserve better. (🖕🧊)

🚺 My body, my choice. Healthcare decisions should be made by women directly, with input from their doctors. Also, believe women.

✨ Black Lives Matter. I will use my immense privilege as a white woman whenever possible as a “Karen for good.”

🐶 If dogs don’t like you, I’m wary of you too. Be kind to all who cross your path.
