    Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s Malibu wedding in 2000 (Y2K y’all) was THE event of the new millennium, fitting of course for THE couple. Those were simpler times. Since these two made scrunchie-rocking hearts flutter everywhere, I’m sure I wasn’t the only grown-up 90s kid who freaked out with excitement about even-totally-far-flung dating rumors. In that spirit, I’ve reimagined their wedding invitations for every season – each version reflecting a different vibe for the big day.

    When Niki (of Niki Marie Photography) first sent me an email about Kelly and Kevin’s upcoming Garden Theater wedding, I couldn’t have been any more excited. I was honored she referred me to design the invitation for this special couple’s wedding. They wanted to highlight the city of Detroit, which is near and dear to my heart. Their classic and neutral wedding this June was beautiful, full of fun and love, and a night to remember. These two looked amazing – and you can see them each glowing with happiness, beaming in every photo.

    It was such an honor to work on the day-of-wedding stationery details for Blair and Max. This special couple hosted a Planterra Conservatory wedding reception after tying the knot at Sainte Anne de Detroit Catholic Church. It was a beautifully elegant day this summer, full of blush, sophisticated florals, the perfectly lush greenhouse venue, and a cameo appearance by their sweet pup. All of my favorite things! Thanks to Jill DeVries for capturing their day so wonderfully.

    My Brother's Eastern Market Wedding

    This Eastern Market wedding was insanely gorgeous, but it was also deeply personal for me – it was my brother’s big day!

    It’s hard to put into words what it means to watch your brother marry the love of his life. It’s even harder to do this when that love has been unofficially part of the family for many years already. Add to that: having the chance to serve as a small part of their vendor team for their Eastern Market wedding. I pride myself on being a decent writer, but for this experience, I’m at a total loss for words. Mostly, it’s just a joy. Seeing the incredible photos from Jill DeVries Photography helps to relive such a beautiful day.

I’m so glad she put us in touch, and I was even more thrilled to have the chance to work with Cecelia and her mom on the custom invitation for her wedding celebration to Kegan. There were tons of purple and pink florals on both the invitation suite and at the event, where they celebrated at Oakland Hills Country Club. Everything tied together beautifully and cohesively from start to finish – that’s the goal!

Her form basically was like “So… I was at Rachel and Justin’s wedding last night – loved your work. I want to meet with you for our wedding.” This other couple was still at their out of towners brunch and this girl was on it about their stationery vendor for their Castle Farms wedding the following summer. I liked her already.

    When I asked Sara and Alex what was important to them in their relationship, they immediately both jumped to say their pets. Their pets were their babies, and their life – for them, that was what was most important. Their goal for the wedding was to incorporate their pets as part of the day, in as many elements as they could. For me, I took that and ran with it. From a crest with their dog and cat on it at the top of their wedding invitation, to the signature drinks being named for each fur baby, to their sweet dog in an amazing floral wreath making a cameo appearance, Sara and Alex’s Misty Farm wedding is sure to give you lots of amazing pets wedding ideas.

    When I dream up an ideal client, I picture Rachel in my mind. I had the pleasure of working with her from New York (and her amazing mom, Beth, locally in Michigan) during the majority of her engagement to Josh, and she was the best. Through the entire wedding planning process, she was excited, organized, open to ideas from her vendor team, appreciative, passionate about giving their guests a seamless experience, and just so, so, so happy to be spending forever with her person. These two had an elegant wedding honoring tradition at Congregation Shaarey Zedek this past spring, and I was thrilled to play a small part in their big day.

    Happy first anniversary to one of my best friends and her incredible husband! Since I never blogged about their elegant Book Cadillac wedding initially, I figured a post on their anniversary was appropriate. Elana and Andy celebrated their marriage surrounded by lots of family and friends, in a gorgeous Detroit ballroom, decked out in black, gold, pink, and white. It was a joyful day, and I was thrilled to stand by their side as her Maid of Honor – as well as serve on their vendor team to bring their vision to life.
