Madison and John’s Orchard Lake Country Club wedding was gorgeous! This sweet couple wanted to have all the classic New England vibes for their reception, and their planner, Nicola from Simply Brilliant Events, definitely made that happen. From Design Mockup to Reality

Invitations for this Orchard Lake Country Club Wedding
When I first chatted with Madison about what she wanted for their invitations, she told me that a playful mixture of patterns was important to her. That really set the tone for their New England style reception to come!
With that in mind, we opted for a floral envelope liner and striped accents for the rehearsal dinner card and added information card. The card with extra info was also oval shaped with a scalloped border, for an extra touch of whimsy!
The oversized, double thick, letterpress main card was stately and elegant with my calligraphy. Madison requested “all the twirls and swirls”, so I made their names as flourished as possible.
Their invitations ended up feeling summery and east coast chic.
Reception Design Details
Throughout this Orchard Lake Country Club wedding reception, Madison and John’s details were reminiscent of the East Coast, with lots of blue and white florals, and pops of greenery throughout the textiles. There was always a pattern play happening!
Welcome and Cocktail Hour
This couple opted for escort cards displayed in a circle. Each card had a soft stripe background, behind the guests’ names. Their bar signage was a mix of card stock and linen fabric backing, for a touch of whimsy and summer charm. The classic wooden frame kept things grounded but its curved edge was a minimalist, modern touch for this Orchard Lake Country Club wedding.
Tabletop Decor Elements
Some of the tables had a striped linen; others had a floral patterned linen. Because of this, we wanted to ensure the menu, table number, and place card designs were very clean and simple to match both. I love how the stationery feels like the perfect “cherry on top” of this gorgeous tablescape.
