The bride and groom looking at each other and smiling while surrounded by fall foliage and Colorado mountains - Telluride Wedding | Annie and John - Photo: Laura Murray Photography

Annie and John’s Telluride wedding was a complete stunner. They had the most picturesque backdrop for their special day, thanks to the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains. Every detail lived up to the landscapes, making for an incredible day. I was honored to design their wedding invitations and day-of-wedding stationery, as one small part of this celebration. Thanks to these beautiful images from Laura Murray, let’s relive their day.

Getting Ready – Attire Details

Annie wore a gorgeous strapless gown with a sleeved, lace topper. Her shoes reflected the dusty rose as part of her overall neutral palette. Her bouquet was organic and soft, and felt wild enough to match the setting for their Telluride wedding. She was a classically beautiful bride!

Meanwhile, John was dapper and refined in a classic black tuxedo, monogrammed cuff on his shirt, bow tie and elegant watch. These two made for quite the pair!

Invitations that Set the Tone

Annie and John’s invitations set the tone for their Telluride wedding, keeping in the natural and neutral palette with accents of dusty rose. All my designs feature calligraphy as the script, so it was organic and unique to them. Additionally, the selections they made in terms of letterpress print method, card thickness, and added embellishments gave a preview of luxury that awaited their guests on the big day! The Elena Suite was the perfect balance of modern and traditional styling.

Want to shop their look? Here’s the selections they chose for their invitations.

Base Package:

  • The Elena Suite
  • Cream card stock

These images are so beautiful, I’ll let them simply speak for themselves. Wow.

Annie and John’s Quintessential Telluride Wedding Ceremony

The happy couple said “I do” in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, at the San Sophia Overlook. A welcome sign I designed as part of their day-of-wedding stationery greeted guests. The rain made an appearance, but so did these beautiful clear-topped umbrellas. Good luck, and a beautiful added element as part of their ceremony. I can’t decide what’s most beautiful — the whole setting was magic.

Reception Entrance

As guests entered Allred’s Restaurant for the reception, they found their name on the seating chart I designed. Again, this matched and coordinated with everything else, and Annie and John only had to find one vendor!

Annie removed her lace topper from her dress, bustled the bottom, and literally let her hair down. These two were ready to party!

Colorado Wedding Reception Details

Annie and John’s reception was full of beautiful details. Their florist brought the outside in with a truly elevated tablescape. The leaf at each person’s seat was a beautiful added touch! I designed menus for each guest, featuring their name personalized at the top. In this way, the menu served as a place card, too! Their copper foil stamped cocktail napkins I created featured their same monogram emblem and calligraphy, carrying the feeling through to the bar. Even the cakes had an autumnal feeling!

Dancing the Night Away

These two were beaming with happiness as they danced the night away. Plus, it looks like there was a bonus serenade from a bridesmaid, which always takes the party up a notch!

Annie and John, may you always look at each other with this same delight. Thank you for letting me play a small part of your big day!
